Fang Huang, Ph.D., Principal InvestigatorDr. Huang is Reilly Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering in the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University. Fang Huang earned his B.S. in Physics at the University of Science and Technology of China in 2004 and his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of New Mexico in 2011 (Advisor: Keith Lidke). Before joining Purdue, Dr. Huang worked with Joerg Bewersdorf as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Cell Biology at Yale University.

Maryam Mahmoodi, Ph.D., Postdoctoral AssociateDr. Mahmoodi is currently a Postdoctoral research associate in the Huang lab in Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University. Maryam earned her PhD degree in Photonics in 2019 at Laser and Plasma Research Institute, Shahid Beheshti University of Iran. She spent a one-year visiting PhD in Department of Photonics Engineering, Technical University of Denmark. Her doctoral research area was on artificial optical materials (Metamaterials) engineering and optical characterization, for the aim of fluorescence emission enhancement.

Vamara Dembele, Ph.D., Postdoctoral AssociateDr. Dembele is a currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Huang lab in the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University. Vamara earned his MSc. in Physics of Matter and Radiation and his Ph.D. in Applied Optics at Chouaib Doukkali University – El Jadida (Morocco) in 2009 and 2014, respectively.
